The time has come for me to move on my Ranger which I have owned for almost 2 years. It’s not been getting the use it deserves and now I am starting a new job which means I need to get it gone as I no longer have dry storage for the truck. No swaps or P/X please.
Ex US Air Force truck, de-commissioned by the US Air Force at RAF Lakenheath in 2019 and built by RACE Lincoln through the pandemic as a lockdown project.
43,*** miles – most of the mileage has been done on an Air Force base from new as the truck was never used on the road until it was first registered. It’s only covered around 3500 miles on the roads.
Mileage very unlikely to increase now due to the weather.
There is not a drop of rust on the body, and the chassis is extremely clean and untouched having had a Lanoguard coating last year. Being picky it wants doing again, but the truck, until now had been permanently dry stored and is intentionally not taken out in winter or on a wet day wherever possible.
3.0L V6 ‘Vulcan’ Motor – Very Reliable.

Flipped Rear Axle with Airlift Performance Air Suspension Assisters – Ideal for Towing to level the truck. No separate tank, the compressor and tank is as one. Less space occupied and far less to go wrong.
Brand New Shock Absorbers all round.
US Tow Hitch Receiver.

2x Switchable dual USB charging ports instead of cigarette lighters in the dash (4 ports in total)
15×8 John Red Wheels with Toyo T1R tyres.

Body Off Repaint in Hard Wearing UPOL Raptor in custom grey tint. Looks incredible. Thought does have a couple of chips in places. (Incredibly easy to keep clean)

Picky Cons:
The seats could do with new covers as have been patched by the air force in its working life.
Small scratch on drivers door, but it’s Raptor and I haven’t got any to try and touch it in.
Speedo is roughly 10mph fast due to the smaller tyres but it comes with a GPS windscreen mounted digital speedo. The original wheels and tyres come with the truck if you so wish.
I also now have the missing ‘Ranger Custom’ badge from the drivers side. It came off somewhere and they are like hens teeth to source. But I got one!
Truck has covered around 3500 faultless miles since its rebuild by RACE Performance. Renowned for their extensive Ford knowledge and racing career with previously having a Mustang GT4 compete in British GT championship, and class championship winning Ford Puma Rally Car.
She is MOT’d until June 2024.
Perfect starter truck for an American enthusiast or a solid daily truck.
It’s a cool truck that is complimented wherever it goes, yet is small enough to be very easily usable in the UK and a pleasure to live with and drive.
Insurance for me with all mods declared is just over £200 for the year.
These yank Rangers are pretty rare in the UK and are starting to fetch more money in the states again with the popularity of ‘mini trucks’ on the rise.
The truck is in Lincoln, viewing is more than welcomed.
