1953 Pontiac Chieftain Like Chevrolet Bel Air American car project Registered V5

incredible condition for its age. Few isolated rust repairs needed to the following – 

front floor pans (new in box)

passenger door bottom needs a patch

drivers rear arch needs repair. 

the underside of this vehicle is ridiculously clean. a light coating of surface rust, but wheel arches etc are superb. 

body is very straight, i searched for a long time to find a car as good as this to start my build from. the patina and originality  just blew me away. 

brand new front windshield fitted with new weatherstrip. 

brand new rear glass rubber and although i didnt know i ordered it there is a brand new back glass in the box in the car too although theres nothing wrong with the one fitted. 

seats will need recovering and a carpet. 

the original 3.9L L6 engine currently doesnt turn over, although i planned to fit a SBC  anyway. 

all the trim, all interior trim is all complete, theres no hard to find parts at all that are missing from the car. as far as im aware it is totally complete. 

my plans were to bag it, preserve the patina and fit a sbc with a 700r4 but since i imported it from Colorado early 2019 ive done nothing with it. its been dry stored with good air flow in a car port.  

all orignal wheel trims, wheel covers with trims, spare wheel mounting bracket etc, all the things that normally go missing or are “borrowed” are all present and accounted for. only thing i know of thats missing is the battery.
