here for sale is our 1966 Chevrolet c10 longbed pickup truck.pretty much everything on the truck is new, its going to be hard to remember everything but here goes..
imported from arkansas in 2018, we are the first uk owners of the truck.
Truck has been fitted with a manual air suspension kit we purchased in the USA and have made some changes along the way, mini notch rear end, 3″ cupped front arms and 2″ drop spindles, stainless 5gal tank , twin compressors, digital air pressure guage under dash, and a handheld controller on the seat controlling the manifold. new poly bushes fitted to the trailing arms and panhard rod. trucks as low as you can go without lifting the bed floor and chopping inner fenders away, which we didnt want to do. new top and bottom arm bushes.
power disc brake conversion up front, standard drum brakes at the rear on the 12 bolt gm rear end (3.76:1 ratio) all new brake lines throughout. new tie rods, pitman arm, poly dust boots . Rear drums have been serviced with new shoes and spring kit. Have kept the old slave cylinders with proper genuine seals obviously , stripped down and honed , rather than fitting new inferior slaves with seals that won’t last 5 mins.
engine is a 307 CID SBC which has been mated to a 700R4 4 speed automatic trans with overdrive and lockup converter. 4th gear is 0.7:1, cruises perfectly. Manual lockup controlled by switch. has benefited from new seals throughout , coolant flush, new oil pump, new timing chain set and a repaint. Aluminium dual plane intake manifold with a new holley 600cfm street warrior carburettor. Aluminium finned valve covers and air cleaner. Aluminium pulley set. transmission has fresh fluid and filter. braided flexi dip stick. engine hasnt been rebuilt but seems healthy, starts runs well and has good oil pressure. electric fuel pump with all new hard / soft lines. the transmission has an oil cooler up front with braided lines. aluminium radiator. Full stainless steel 2.25″ exhaust system with bomb style silencers and shorty headers. new hi torq starter motor. new water pump.
interior has been completely revamped, painted to match exterior colour, billet steering column and wheel, new carpet, underlay and roadkill sound proofing. retractable lap belts. new bench seat upholstry, sunvisors covered to match. bluetooth stereo, Intellitronix digital dash. standard dash bezel stripped and polished. new kicker sound system with sub and 6x9s under the bench, tweeters in the pillars and coaxials in the kick panels. heater works really well with a new heater matrix fitted. new arm rest and sill strips. new rubbers throughout (glass doors etc) tinted big back window. new glovebox liner and chevrolet badge on the lid. new dome lens. Cab floor has been finished with tintable raptor lining.
wheels powdercoated , new beauty rings and the original hubcaps, or at least the ones the truck came with.
new bed wood fitted varnished and all stainless steel coach bolts used.
new head lights, indicators, lenses, bezels, tail lights etc. led no plate lights. headlights have been correctly relayed. Majority of the wiring on the truck is brand new.
exterior has been repainted and lacquered but have tried to keep as much of the original patina as possible like the roof, bonnet, bumpers and tops of the bed rails. any welding that was required has been carried out including the sills, floor pans and the entire perimiter of the bed where the wood bolts to the sides. brand new side trim from front to back.
