£58,500.00 (as of 10th April 2024, 12:55 pm)

Welcome to the sale of my much loved 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. The car is in very original condition with matching numbers on the door jam and inner wing/fender, as well as most of the original glass.

I imported the car in 2021 from Georgia and I am the only UK owner.

Out of the factory, it was a 3-speed manual transmission and painted in ‘Dark Moss’ green, as per Marti Report.

The car has:

  • Original 289 small block engine which has just had an oil change, runs smoothly.
  • 8” differential with brand new Hauser Racing half shafts (new diff gasket has just been fit).
  • Uprated Flex-a-lite electric cooling fan.
  • Flowmaster exhausts.
  • 5-speed manual Tremec transmission.
  • Dakota gauges.
  • Brake disc conversion.
  • Really solid chassis (N.B. I imported the car from Georgia in 2021, so rust is limited as they don’t salt their roads in winter).
  • Aftermarket fibreglass bonnet/hood.
  • In my care, I have fit a new ignition switch, flushed the radiator, replaced the rear half shafts, flushed the diff, replaced the door locks and fit wing mirrors.
  • Brand new front suspension has just been fit too by the garage.
  • I also have various badges and trims that you are welcome to fit at your own discretion.

Bad points:

  • The main bad point is the paintwork – whilst it might look okay in the photos, up close I feel it could do with a professional flat and polish. Alternatively I have been quoted circa £6,000 to respray the car from a former painter at McLaren – I would be happy to do any introduction.
  • Handbrake, radio and horn do not work (which I believe to all be fairly common).
  • Rear seat fixing not completely secure, as missing 1 bracket.

These cars are getting harder and harder to come by in the UK, especially manual ones in a decent condition at this price point. I would describe it as a light project with the 3 bad points mentioned above.

As such, this is a great ‘driver’ and I’ve done almost 1,400 trouble-free miles in this car since I’ve owned it.

Viewings welcome and with proof of funds, test drives can also be had. I have additional videos showing the engine running with no leaks and revving the engine when it was warm – serious parties welcome to ask for these and the Marti Report.

Please no time wasters or chancers, this has to be one of the cheapest manuals available in the UK in driving condition right now. No offers online, please arrange to come view the vehicle first.

UPDATE: Car was in Surrey when first listed but now in Wiltshire. Drove it here no problem.
