1970 CLASSIC FIAT 500 L + LOW MILEAGE, RUST FREE, £2,000 SPENT IN 2023

It’s often the case that less is more, and I’ve definitely never had so much fun from 18hp!!

Finished in the iconic shade of pastel green, the interior is black vinyl with matching green piping. The carpets look as new with rubber overcast throughout. The paint looks great and has only a handful of small imperfections, all chrome and rubbers are in great order as is the sunroof. The body and underside are free from any signs of rust, please see photos of the underneath. the odometer shows 37,829km’s which translates to only 23,505 miles, we can’t verify it of course but it is perfectly inline with the cars condition.

This lovely little 1970 Fiat 500 Lusso spent most of it’s life in Napoli, the Italian registration document shows only 4 previous keepers as of 2015 and including Amy, 3 owners in the UK since it’s importation in August 2020. Purchased in February last year for my mother who sadly hasn’t had the time she hoped to enjoy it. It’s time for it to replaced by something that that cover long distances but still put a similar smile on her face, no easy task! 

Almost £2,000 was spent upon purchase, like most 500’s there is no historic paperwork from Italy so it was important to ensure safety and reliability. The engine was serviced and the carb set up with new HT leads, rotor arm and dizzy cap. The drive feels a lot tighter since new suspension uprights were fitted along with a reconditioned steering column. It starts on the ‘lever’ every time, stops well, and the gears are easy to find so you can enjoy the drive and not worry about struggling with any of the controls.
