£16,500.00 (as of 10th April 2024, 12:59 pm)

For sale is my California imported pick up truck. The truck was built in Japan by Mazda and is the same as a Mazda B1600 but was simply sold under the Ford brand in the US.

The truck has been fully restored and the work was completed in 2020/2021 by a very good and reputable business, JFI Classic Cars based in Brecon Wales. I’ve owned the car for a few years and it has been a great truck used for my event work and passion project of renting out classics to film/tv clients. I’ve also taken multiple surf trips with it down to Devon/Cornwall.

This is a brand new build with only ~3500 miles on it. I’m in the process of clearing out some of my 7 cars and this is one of them to go but it’s ready to be enjoyed and used as you wish. So much fun to dart around and also incredibly practical for outdoor bits and work kit.

The truck offers modern reliability with a BMW M44 engine fitted and producing 160bhp. The engine is mounted to a Getrag 5 speed from a BMW and it’ll cruise with ease at motorway speeds. Simply, get in start it and go.

All the electrics were completely gone through and upgrades were fitted where necessary and these included;

  • Modern sealed beam LED headlights
  • Modern (bluetooth compatible) radio
  • Modern speakers and tweeters
  • Underseat subwoofer
  • Refurbished heater box
  • Refurbished wiper motor/linkage

Staying inside the truck, the interior was also gone through with the following work carried out;

  • Retrimmed bench seat
  • New custom fitted carpets
  • Retrimmed Door cards
  • Headlining
  • Custom easy throw gear lever

Outside, the truck is solid and straight and as good underneath as it is on top. During the restoration the bodywork underneath was all cleaned and repaired as necessary and also future proofed and sealed. The truck has seen minimal practical use and I would say the paint instead of being perfect, is really good and you won’t be scared to get in drive and use the vehicle.

The truck bed is untouched, rust free and patina’d. All I’ve done is use it but also apply a layer of wax just to protect it. A custom made waterproof bed cover is fitted on the back, matching the interior and complementing the trucks colour.

The original 14 inch wheels have been banded and powder coated, allowing for more tyre options and more meat on the road. A spare wheel is included.

There’s a lot more to this truck and you really ought to see it. As I’ve got it here, mileage will go up because I intend to use it. During winter it’s kept in storage and when here it is also garaged.

My insurance is only £150 (with declared mod), the truck is tax exempt so very cheap to run.

Fuel consumption is excellent with the modern engine.

A few more bits worth mentioning;

  • Custom side exit exhaust
  • Custom manifold
  • Custom fuel tank
  • GPS speedometer
  • Race performance battery
  • Momo prototype steering wheel
  • New windscreen rubbers
  • New imported windscreen
  • Lowering blocks fitted, sat on leaf springs and shocks

Weight = ~1000kg

70mph = ~2800 rpm

JDM and Driftworks inspired. Building something like this today would cost a lot more than the advertised price and I’ve priced it fairly for a straight forward sale. Please, no tyre kickers and no offers on here, come and physically see the car to appreciate it.
