1972 Volvo 145 Express estate.
Very rare model especially here in the UK.
This model came in to supercede the Volvo Duett which had a more van like versatile shape than the 145. Volvo produced a limited number of these Express models with factory high roof and tall tailgate to satisfy the need for extra cargo space in a car based vehicle..
The rear luggage space is huge with the rear seats folded down and Heavy duty wooden strips provide rugged protection to the cargo area and along the sides of the inner roof.
The car starts, runs and drives. The B20 2000cc motor runs well and sounds good. Video available. There is 218500 km on the clock which is around 136500 miles. Nothing for these motors.
All electrics work. Wipers, lights, heater fan etc.
The gearbox seems fine driving in the yard here but have not had it out on the open road.
The car is a running project and although very solid for its age will require some welding in places. I’ve taken a load of pictures to give a clear picture of condition inside, outside and underneath.
They were as far as i can tell only sold in Scandinavia and other than mine i only know of two others in the UK (one of which i sold). They have to be one of the most practical classics around.

The car comes with Swedish papers (equivalent of out V5), NOVA printout showing correct procedures were followed on import and that all charges were cleared. I can advise on UK registration as have done hundreds of them. That part is easy and costs £55 only. You get an age related number.
