1959 VW Beetle. Original unrestored survivor. Turn key. 30 Hp. Swedish import

1959 Beetle.

Very original survivor car that i imported from Sweden.
There is a real charm to this car.
It has lots of original paint and some repainted areas where it picked up scratches through the years. It has some lovely fade through to primer coat here and there, stone chips, small dings and some scratches. All marks from its 63 years of life and giving it a lovely patina.

The interior is fully original. Original seat upholstery, door cards, rubber mats and carpets. The original headliner has had some quirky patches added if it had a nick or tear which i think really adds to its charm. See pics.

Eberspacher heater.
Steering lock with original keys.
Original VW door key.
Swedish accessory door screw bungs (anti door rattle for rougher roads).
Swedish gravel guards on rear fenders.
VW Mudflaps.

Original wings with correct front wiring tubes underneath. There’s a little rust under the front passenger fender lip (pictured) but i have just waxed it and it will be fine for years like that. A very solid car that had a few bits welded here and there over the years but doesn’t need anything now.

The car came with a copy of original document from 1959 Showing it was first registered there in May of 1959.
There is only one owner a Mr Sven Augustsson showing on that paperwork. I bought it from the family of the second owner who’s name was not added to that original paper.

This is a turn key car that i drive around on nice days. Its a pleasure to drive.

The car has had a brake rebuild with all new hydraulic parts (German quality where available), new shoes, handbrake cables, hard and soft lines.

Gearbox and motor removed, cleaned and fitted with new gearbox mounts, oil seal, axle boots etc.
New clutch and flywheel oil seal.
Heater boxes refreshed with new J tubes.
New exhaust.
New oil in gearbox & motor.
Serviced and running beautifully (video available).
New choke cable.
New front bearings.

The car rolls on original beetle solid wheels with 5 new Crossply tyres. The car rolls along so nicely and has a nice smooth ride.

Date on rear of speedo April 59.
First registered in Sweden May 59.

UK Registered and correct paperwork in hand.
