1979 VW Bay window Crew cab / Double cab pick up.

£5000 without engine and gearbox. £6750 with.

A restoration project needing some welding, brake refurb and general recommissioning work having been parked for a number of years.

Complete vehicle so a good place to start a project.

2 litre injection motor and 6 rib gearbox so the best factory combination for keeping up with today’s traffic. All parts are there on the motor including the pick up only intake parts. If you don’t fancy injection they are easy to convert to carburettor.

The motor turns by hand but i have not tried to make it run. The gearbox selects gears but again untested.

Some people like to install alternative power plants and running gear or have a known good motor of their own. For this reason im happy to sell at a reduced rate without engine and gearbox. Message me for info.

Welding wise its best if you take a look at the large file of pictures i have here:

Mainly usual stuff like sills, jack points, arches and some bits of floor / load bed. Pictures will tell the full story.

The body work is overall very straight especially for a commercial vehicle. The front panel is great. No roof rust. 

Rolls and steers fine so it can be rolled on and off trailer and around the yard / workshop easily enough.
