MGC Roadster 1968 LHD Auto

The Heritage certificate shows it was manufactured in June/July 1968 and exported to the USA. This was a Florida car that was subsequently moved by the second owner to Maine where is has been in storage in the last 10 years or so with little use. Consequently some recommissioning work was needed to the braking system comprising a new brake master, servo, calipers, wheel cylinders and all new hoses and copper lines. The carbs were all gummed up and there was a manifold leak so all the manifolding was removed with a new manifold gasket , reconditioned carbs and all new linkage. K & N air filters are present. Apparently a reconditioned engine was fitted just prior to storage so it runs very nicely indeed. Everything works as it should and is MOT’d to 5 February 2025.The car was repainted some 25 years ago and has held up well with a few minor chips and scratches the worse one being on the LH rear wheel arch as shown in the  photo. The paint looks good with a bit of blooming on the bonnet and boot lid as a result of the heat but this is being very picky.A spare tin of paint comes with the car.

The interior is in absolutely mint condition with no damage to the leather seats , carpets and trim panels. Looks virtually as new!!! The wire wheels were replaced about 6 years ago and the MWS stickers are still present plus new Continental  Tyres . The mileage is showing 47,783 which could well be genuine given the overall condition of the car. Basically this car has survived the rages of time  which is rare given it 56 years old. Offers very close to asking price considered.
