Selling my Ford Consul Classic 315 due to needingto free up some space. Dates 1961 Imported from southern France September 2019.
GOOD POINTS
Virtually rust free due to warm southern French climate.
Very rare car only 12 known on the fccoc (Ford classic capri owners club) with the LHD and column gear change and year being early 1961 and only 3 in this country so very unique.
Under gone complete mechanical overhaul.
Original red interior
Original paint on the roof
Resprayed in 2k Original Ermine white.
Excellent engine and transmission.
1340cc
Halogen head lights.
Alternator fitted.
Stainless steel exhaust.
Car drives really wheel for being 60+ years old.
NOT SO GOOD POINTS BUT OK
Not quite a professional respray but looks great, could do with some improvements.
Doors not fitting correctly due to age of the car.
Could do with new door seals as these are original and show signs of perishing.
Original chrome work but a bit dull etc due to age this is great patina.
Drivers seat has small split and door cards slightly warped but these are all original.
Left hand drive which doesn’t suit all, yet l find it a great car to drive.
All in a very nice car and great for the coming of summer with the classic car shows just around the corner.
Car looks and drives very nice but won’t suit the purists or the person who wants perfect.
Milage is in kilometres reads 98000 odd that’s around 60000 miles car is in use so will increase a bit. Speedo has mph dial fitted and is correct.
Price reflects condition. If you want better then look else where and pay more for it and don’t waste my time and yours.
