1982 Chevrolet C20 Truck GMC 6.2 V8 Detroit diesel American pickup C10 F250 Ram

Lovely straight rust free Vegas truck, imported recently to the UK.

Comes complete with all the factory chrome trims and decals.

Body in excellent condition with great chromework.

The wheels have been painted and come with the proper Chevy wheel trims and hub trims. New looking tyres.

The original factory GM diesel engine starts well and pulls as it should. Works very nicely with the rarer 4 speed auto box. Gives the truck a more comfortable cruising speed than the more usual 3 speed boxes with these diesels. Not savage on fuel either like the petrols. Approximately doubling the fuel consumption.

The GM 6.2 V8 diesel engine was the unit used in the US military Humvees, Chevy Blazers, Chevy ambulances etc as well as the monster American motorhomes of the time as well, pulling big loads. Strong, simple, reliable and very easy to work on with parts even now plentiful and cheap if needed. The GM diesel sounds like a proper V8 too. 

Not to be mistaken for the horrendous Oldsmobile GM 5.7 V8 diesel, built on the V8 petrol block.

Rear wheel drive and as a result gives a far softer and more comfortable Chevy truck ride than the stiffer 4wd trucks. Less weight, less drag, simpler.

Transmission looks like it’s been recently removed and rebuilt, replaced.

Bench seat has been fully re-trimmed. Dashboard top roll has been covered with the same matching seat material and looks good.  New cab carpet and floor mats.

Both electric windows function.

Engine has been serviced. Some steering and suspension bushes replaced. Can be mot’d for peace of mind for the buyer if required.

Steering wheel and column removed, rebuilt with new bearings etc.
