LHD 1971 2DR Mk3 Ford Cortina – Only 52k miles!

For Sale today is my 1971 Mk3 Cortina that i imported from Finland 8 years ago. Went to the lengths of importing from Finland because exported fords don’t rot like uk models as they were Zeibarted from factory underneath and this one is a rare 2dr low miles model which is hens teeth to find especially with the desirable black interior.

Mechanically the original 1300cc engine runs soo nicely that i never had the heart to fit a bigger engine altho the original back axle is whining but i have a heavy duty Atlas axle included if you want to upgrade it. Electronic Ignition fitted and the engine starts up and runs beautifully in all temps as a result. brakes are all good and no nasty noises, etc. 

Interior is in time warp condition, the seats are perfect with no rips, tares, etc headliner is all original and amazing condition, its as you would expect a 50 year old 52K car to look inside. The boot in the pic is slightly raised, have adjusted latch and it’s perfectly flush now. Doors and boot have brand new rubber seals.

Note: the car will come with the original factory fitted steel wheels, the 70’s wolf race slot mags seen in the pics available separately. Also have original GT high back seats, GT main clocks with Rev counter, GT 4-pod centre console with rare LHD gauges & armrest I might sell separately if desired. 

Bodywork lets her down as she’s 80% original Ford Diamond white and 20% touch up paint which is very noticeable so does require bodywork and the drivers door needs a replacement door pin which is included in the sale, the heavier 2dr cars suffered from the pins snapping over time due to the weight but this work is reflected in the low price but very fair price for a solid classic ford not requiring welding that you can turn the key and drive away!
